Ephesians 1:22,23

And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

We begin February with our district Mid-Winter Bible Conference. This is a time to worship and celebrate together the blessings our Lord provides. Our district is blessed and united to serve the Lord’s Church as we gather together. This year Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day are February 14th. I think this is very appropriate – it’s a special time to love the Lord our God and one another. The Church is a gathering of God’s people who are to show loving attitudes to one another and to Our Lord. First, we gather together to remember that God has placed all things in the Church under Jesus Christ. He is worthy because of the Cross and Easter morning. Not only these but Jesus Chris is God. Therefore, we again in Lent prepare our hearts for His filling, seeing His filling of our souls; He is our all in all.

We also celebrate the blessings of our nation’s past leaders. We are to pray for our present leaders. They need the help of our Lord. We the people lead and we do so by the prayers that call for the Lord’s leading of this nation.

Let us commit to serve the one who “fills everything in every way”. God blesses those who pray for His kingdom on earth; be it national or for each other. May he bless and keep us.

God Bless,

Pastor LeRoy
