"He who gathers crops in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son."
August generally begins the harvest. It must be done or else all is lost.
The Lord has given us a harvest field. The seed has been sown. The Word has gone forth; it has also been watered. Now there is the harvest – but how. There is only one who can bring the harvest. We must first pray the Lord of the harvest first to send forth workers for the harvest as Galatians 6:9-10 tells us, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
The believers are to be the workers. Harvest has and is a time of rejoicing. But when the heat is on sometimes it’s harder to see the blessings even of harvest. Do not grow weary the Lord will bring a harvest. His blessings are for the faithful and the harvest will come.
